Orders and returns
Signing Into My Account
If you are a returning customer, and have finished adding items to your shopping basket and want to checkout, you will be prompted to sign in by providing your e-mail address (login) and password. You can also checkout as a guest if you do not want BYREDO to keep your personal details.
Make sure to provide precise city, state, and zip code information. Remember to spell out the city to which you are shipping the order. Many times abbreviations, misspellings, and other typos can result in errors in this section.
You can add, edit, or delete shipping addresses while you are in this step of the checkout process.
Shipping & Packaging
After entering the "ship to" address, you can select a shipment method for your order. Delivery charges will be applied according to your selection.
During the payment step in the checkout process, you can add, edit, or delete your information. Select one credit card for the payment of your order.
Only one promotional code can be used towards an order. Promotional code cannot be combined or redeemed for cash or credit.
If you have a promotional code, you can enter the code at this stage by clicking on “Apply Promo code” and Update your basket. If it is valid, the promotional offer will appear automatically into your shopping basket at the Order Confirm page.
Order Confirmation Email
Immediately after you have successfully placed your order with Byredo.com, you will receive an e-mail that contains information regarding the details of your order. The order confirmation e-mail is your receipt that can be printed for your records. The order confirmation e-mail includes your order number (the same number that appeared on our web site after successful submission of an order), the details of the products and corresponding prices, any promotional code, your ship-to and bill-to information, and shipping method.
During 30 days following the delivery of your order, you may request the refund of items, which you must return to us in unused condition accompanied by the original invoice. Returns will only be accepted if labels and original packaging are fully intact and in a resellable condition. Online Store cannot accept returns where labels have been removed or products opened. In the case of a product broken during transportation, please send a photo proof to [email protected]
You are responsible for the shipping of returned items back to BYREDO's online store. Return items lost in transportation will not be compensated for. Shipping charges on returned merchandise are at the customer’s expense. However, BYREDO Online Store will not charge additional shipping on exchanges. Refunds for returned merchandise will be made within two weeks of the return of the product, to the original purchaser’s credit card. Note that additional duties and/or taxes will not be refunded. Neither will shipping costs. For countries within the EU, VAT will be included in the refund. All exchanges are subject to availability. Faulty items will be replaced by the same type of product, subject to availability. Refunds for faulty items can be made within the 30-day period following delivery. Returns can only be made as described in BYREDO Online Store’s instructions. Items cannot be exchanged or refunded at our stores.
Byredo.com Return Procedures
If you were to be unsatisfied with your purchase, byredo.com offers free returns. Please follow the procedure below:
- Simply email [email protected] and include your order number, reason for the return and pictures of the product. Please also include your name, e-mail address, and phone number so that we can contact you, if necessary.
- You will then receive a prepaid return label.
- Package your return item in BYREDO packaging or in a well-padded envelope or box to prevent damage in transit.
- You will receive an email confirmation once return is processed.
It takes up to two weeks to process returns and credit your account Return shipments can be tracked here and we will notify you via e-mail once your return has been processed. Please note that your financial institution may take longer to reflect the transaction. If you have any questions about your return, please contact Customer Care.

When your credit card is authorized, funds are put on hold until the transaction is completed. When the order is shipped, the payment is processed.
Your billing information must be exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.If any numbers are different, the order cannot be processed. Be sure to correctly spell city names and avoid using abbreviations unless that is how your information appears on your statement.
Contact your financial institution if you need the exact billing address associated with your credit card.
For your security, BYREDO requires you to enter your 3- or 4-digit card identification number (CID/CVN/CVV/CVC) on orders over $100 for Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover transactions. See below for help with credit card identification numbers.
Visa/MC/Discover Card Customers:
Your Security Code/CID (Card Identification Number) is in the signature area on the back of the card (it is the last 3 digits AFTER the credit card account number). Visa/MC/Discover customer CIDS are 3 digits.
American Express Customers:
Your Security Code/CID (Card Identification Number) is a 4-digit number on the front of the card, ABOVE the embossed (raised) credit card account number. This number is referred to as the "Security Code." American Express customer CIDs are 4 digits.
The amount of your order is held on your debit card and the debit card owner does not have access to these funds until the hold is taken off. Holds usually last 3 - 5 business days and may vary with your financial institution.
Holds are usually taken off within 3 - 5 business days. Policies differ from bank to bank. Call your financial institution for more details.
Fraud Protection Program
Billing, Canceling, & Modifying Orders
For your own security and protection, Byredo.com will pre-authorize the full amount of your purchase plus applicable sales tax and shipping to verify your billing address and credit card information. The pre-authorization will drop off from your account within 1-7 business days depending on your financial institution. Byredo.com will collect payment and post the actual amount of the purchase only when your order is shipped from our warehouse.

Order Status & Modifying Orders
Before you place your order, you can view the contents and the total amount in your shopping basket. Once your order has been submitted successfully, the order will be in a "Confirmed" status. Your order is then "Sent to Warehouse," entering the shipping process almost immediately. The only time that you can cancel or modify your order is during "Placed" status.
Once your order has been "Sent to Warehouse," it has entered the shipping process and no further changes can be made. You can return your items free of charge for a credit to your account.

Profile & Password
Changing Your Login E-mail Address or Password
You can change your login e-mail address and password by clicking on E-mail Address and Password within your account. We recommend that you save a new password hint with each change of password. Please note that all your e-mail subscriptions and order confirmations will be sent to your new email address.
Updating Your Profile
To change your account information click on My Account and sign in.
My Account is located at the top of every Byredo web page. You can change your login, password, ship-to addresses, and billing information.
Order Status & History
Tracking An Order
You can track the status of your order online in your BYREDO account section. Click on My Account and sign in to check the status of your most recent order and your order history. Click on the order number for the shipment that you would like to track and a detailed order information page will be displayed. A tracking number is located to the right of the ship-to address and under the shipping method. Click on this number to view detailed tracking information.
Order Submitted - "Pending Review"
Prior to sending the order to the warehouse for fulfillment and processing, your order needs to be authorized for payment. For your own protection, our Web site performs additional security checks on some orders. Our customer service team may need to contact you regarding special orders or large dollar value orders. This may delay your order processing time by one business day.
Order Submitted - "Placed"
Once you have placed your order on Byredo and your credit card has been authorized, your order status will appear as "Placed."
Order Processing - "Sent to Warehouse"
Once you have placed your order, it will be sent to our warehouse to be processed and packed for shipment. During this time, your order status will appear as "Sent to Warehouse." Please allow 1 - 2 business days for the order to be processed and prepared for shipment. Once the order enters the "Sent to Warehouse" status, no changes, or cancellations of your order can be made.
Order Delivery - "Shipped "
Once your order has left our warehouse, the order status will appear as "Shipped "
Canceling or Modifying an Order
Before you place your order, you can view the contents and the total amount in your shopping basket. Once your order has been submitted successfully, the order will be in a "Placed" status. Your order is then "Sent to Warehouse," entering the shipping process almost immediately. The only time that you can cancel or modify your order is during "Placed" status. Once your order enters the shipping process by being "sent to the warehouse", no further changes can be made. If the order has been "Sent to Warehouse," we are unable to cancel or modify your order.
Default Shipping Address
To the right of your list of saved addresses, use the Default Address checkbox to designate which address you want to serve as your default ship to address. The default ship-to address information will appear automatically in the shipping screens when you make a purchase. (You will still be able to manually choose other available addresses during the checkout process.)
Orders are shipped the first working day following the day the order was placed.
Delivery takes 2-3 days after the shipping confirmation has been sent.

Entering or Modifying Shipping Address
You can create, delete and save multiple friends and family's shipping addresses in your personal Address Book . To create or add new addresses, just click on the “Add New Address” button. To delete or edit an address, just click on the Edit/Delete buttons located below each address.

In every email, you have the opportunity to modify your email frequency. Click on “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any Byredo email.
